Holly Hunter will co-star in David Gordon Green‘s drama, which will be financed and produced by Worldview

“Spring Breakers” director Harmony KorineChris Messina (“The Mindy Project”) and Oscar winner Holly Hunter (“Top of the Lake”) will join Al Pacino in David Gordon Green‘s drama “Manglehorn,” it was announced Friday by Worldview Entertainment.

Worldview is financing and producing the movie, which Green is directing from a script by Paul Logan.

Worldview CEO Christopher Woodrow and COO Molly Conners will produce alongside Lisa Muskat, Derrick Tseng and Green.

Worldview’s Maria Cestone and Sarah E. Johnson will executive produce alongside Todd Labarowski, Brad Coolidge and Melissa Coolidge for Dreambridge Films, which is making an investment in the film. Jody Hill and Danny McBride will executive produce for Rough House.

CAA arranged financing for the film and is representing domestic rights, while WestEnd Films is handling international sales.

Production starts this fall in Austin, Texas.

“Manglehorn” marks the second collaboration between Worldview Entertainment, WestEnd Films and Dreambridge Films with Green and his production team, following the drama “Joe.” Oscar winner Nicolas Cage stars in “Joe,” which just made its world premiere in competition at the Venice Film Festival and is making its North American debut as a special presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Worldview has six films premiere in Toronto, including Atom Egoyan‘s “Devil’s Knot,” Eli Roth‘s “The Green Inferno,” Ti West‘s “The Sacrament” and Guillaume Canet’s “Blood Ties.” The company recently co-financed Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu‘s comedy “Birdman” with Fox Searchlight and New Regency, as well as Daniel Espinosa‘s crime thriller “Child 44” with Summit/Lionsgate.

Korine has appeared in several of his own movies, and also had a small role in Fox Searchlight’s “Stoker.”
